There once was a blender called Blend. But he was different from other blenders. He was better, faster, stronger. Genetically superior.

Now as you may know, in this particular universe, blenders can talk, interact and move around, much like a living being.

Blend, he had 2 friends. One was called Mix, and the other, Crush. The three stood out from the rest, they were extraordinary. They were the blenders of the future, capable of feats no other blender could achieve. The threesome were unaware of their release date, and they blending weren't the only things on their mind. They felt they were destined for something... bigger. Something no blender has ever done before.

A season before their planned release, they snuck out of their cardboard box, and to freedom...

Other blenders stared in awe as Blend took the lead, strolling off into the beyond. It was all dark in the warehouse, save for the silver moonlight spilling in through the windows. Their last hurdle seperating them from the open world was a window... a window left ajar. Crush, possessing the strongest blades, whirled his blades as quick as he could. A deafening "WWWOOOORRRRLL" echoed in the warehouse. In the midst of the noise and chaos, Crush's body lifted from the ground...

Blend, who was looking on all the while, had found a way out.

Today was another day where I slogged in the kitchen. Looking outside into the air-conned dining area makes me want to go out and get some too.

And I expanded Ah Xiong's English vocab! He rarely speaks english as he came from Malaysia, and schools there taught either with Mandarin or Malay. He's really fluent with cantonese too. So I taught him two words today, and they were "exactly" and "leftovers". He's a very quick learner too!

Now here's the time you may ask: Why's he wanting to learn english only now? Well because according to him, he wants to use english to attract babes, as his boyish good looks weren't nearly enough. He's just turning 21, and he was asking me to introduce some girls from my school. I have a candidate but I'm not sure if I should tell him the name...

Oh Hai!

I'm back from a massive break.

Too lazy and tired to blog for these few weeks. Thanks to work. But then again, work ain't so bad. I get to cook, crack jokes, look at girlz and shit. Only drawbacks are the manager and lack of aircon. Oh and also the injury rate. I cut myself accidentally thrice in one week. Hooray!

Also, my new mates from the workplace are jokers and have a life. My kind of people! Lots of them are from other countries though, but that's unimportant. These three guys are the most epic in the kitchen. They are Ah Wang, Li Hui and Ah Xiong. Now you think Li Hui's a gal but he's actually a guy. He's the most joker of them all too. He could always pinch a tempura and no one would ever notice. Now that's just pro. He also likes to make fun of Ah Wang.

Ah Xiong: "Not bad!"
Li Hui: " No use if you got nice hair, your face is still buang!"

Well that was kinda bastard, but it was a joke and we all knew it. Happy days.

Alright... here's an overdue "Thursday Cannot Drink/Eat Combo".

This Thursday's combo is Coca-Cola and Kaya.

Never, ever eat a kaya sandwich and drink coke at the same time, unless you have an indestructible stomach with the capacity of a rice pot. Undesirable sensations in the stomach are caused by the acidity of the food, but I prefer to think that it's the stomach putting up a protest and taking revenge on the moronic owner who had this shitty breakfast. If the stomach could talk, I'm sure it would say, " What the f**k are you doing to me?!"

Back from AWOL. For a grand total of 10 days.

That's 240 hours.

Ok enough of the math. Let's recount what happened in the 10 days I was being lazy.

First up, we celebrated Daryl's birthday yesterday! By yesterday I mean like 30 minutes ago. But what the hell. Nothing like a bit of rekindled homie love. For Daryl's birthday present, I got him three kinds of chocolate. Blame my budget. But then, it's the thought that counts right! Next stop was the arcade nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves not only because of the wide variety of games there, but also because Guo Siong sponsored some tokens. Gotta love the guy for that. I challenged Ryan in the very popular game "Inital D". I won him three times in a row! But he also won me. But it's not everyday I win in racing games! I also tried the punching force thingy there, and I got a whopping 117kg punch! Never thought I'll hit the no. 2 in the scoreboard! Also, I can't play DDR for nuts. My feeble attempt to play the easiest difficulty could be labeled as a joke.

Next was Wednesday. I followed Gerald and gang to the dance studio. No, I wasn't going to dance. I can't dance for shit. I tried to do a move with my arms and ended up hitting my face. So, I went to work out some logo designs with Kenneth instead, made good progress. I'm nearly there man, it's going in my portfolio. Feeling good about this one. Yi Xiang owes me an anal. We were playing pool and I seemed to have a good shot. The guy then decided to help me get the ball in, if he did not get it in, I get to anal him. But... luck paitaoed him and led him to current circumstances.

Tuesday. It was my first day of work at Ichiban Sushi. Work in the kitchen wasn't as hot as I expected, and the people there were rather friendly. But it was rather weird, all the others were adults, I was the only young little kid there. In the kitchen I get to cut all sorts of stuff... cabbages, mushrooms, chicken... Went to visit Jia Ying at Sasa downstairs. I keep thinking her work clothes closely resemble pyjamas, (Here's hoping she doesn't see this!) even though she said it was a sweater.

Greetings, reader. I have, again, taken the pain to analyse the lethality of different food/drink combos using my own digestive system. I shall have this practice going once a week every Thursday, so be sure to get your weekly update on what foods/drinks to not pair with!

This week's combo is a drinks combo.

NEVER, EVER drink milk with apple juice. I do not know why, nor have I the intention of researching, but this combo really makes for a Mortal Kombat match in the stomach. The pain would make your face so contorted that you would look like you just jizzed in your pants.

"Finger on the trigger, eyes on the prize."

"Dr Teo, you're murmuring to yourself again.", went Professor Zafir. The sky was dyed a deep purple, with the glowing sun retreating to the horizon. We would walk for miles, to the sacred site of the Seal. According to our info, the huge hairies were seeking something from within the Seal. We also surmised whatever was inside is deadly, presumably a sentient being, as seen on one of their carvings: "To die in combat whilst engaged with the Seal inhabitant, is the greatest achievable glory under the Red Moon." The red moon must refer to the Lunar Eclipse, and... whatever was waiting in the Seal can't be good for us neither. There were about 10 of us altogether, 8 huge hairies and 2 tiny Homo Sapiens Sapiens, prepared for a fight to the death...

The air was cold, and the sky now a dark blue. The pale moonlight illuminated the enormous stone wall that stood before us, lodged into the side of a grassy knoll. The biggest of the pack stepped forward, its incredible physique gleamed, muscles rippling as it breathed. Professor Zafir said in awe," I wouldn't piss mohawk off... even if I was the damn stone wall." Too right, Professor.

There were funky patterns all over the wall, save for a spot, where there was a circular space. The leader wasted no time, placing his palm into the circle. All of a sudden, the patterns lit up, as if they were branded by a red-hot poker. I couldn't help but notice how for every circle there were around 20 weird symbols on the wall... and there were 10 circles. Professor Zafir's facial expression suggested he was about to shit bricks... I must've been on the brink of shitting a whole house. We actually forgot about the camera...

A huge crack ran down the entire vertical length of the stone wall, and opened the wall like an elevator entrance at an impossible speed. It was like, there was no inertia, friction, whatsoever. It was unlike anyt--- "BOOM!!!" The leader of the pack hit the ground with its fist with such force it shook Professor Zafir and I off-balance. As it grunted, its veins showed in its arms and back. It was poised to fight, and so were the others.

Through the dust we could make out a humanoid shape walking out, with the calmness and grace quite unlike anything we've ever seen in the labs. When the dust settled, Professor Zafir gaped in utter disbelief," Oh my word..." The shape was a 12 foot tall wolf, standing on 2 hind legs. Packed on its body were a recognisably-human musculature, and it was posed to kill. It's blood red eyes paralleled its malice. The leader gave the order, and both sides of the melee obeyed the blood thirst and charged.

Resuming the extraordinary tale of Professor Zafir and Dr Teo, two unlikely heroes...

The sky was overcast, and was an ominous dark bluish-gray. Enjoying the late afternoon breeze was the least I could do, after sitting on a stone floor all day decoding an ancient language. I still do not know what scene we were in, it could be the early Pleistocene for all I know. Asking Professor Zafir, all he said was," Doesn't look like the rap scene, is all I know, and I'm grateful for that." He estimated the 7th Lunar Eclipse was to take place in a few hours, when it's dark. We do not know what's ahead of us, we could only blindly speculate. What we know, however, that whatever was inside the Seal was of utmost significance and could threaten survival. Professor Zafir and I could only wait in the silence on the eve of calamity...

"I have a plan, I need you to follow me.", said the Professor, "don't worry, we'll be back." I did as I was told, and went back to the present. We were in the cave again, but in modern times. He then told me his flawless strategy. I listened and could only say, "Whoa shit! Professor, you've done it!" When we returned to the ancient cave, we were ready for anything, fully charged and armed to the teeth, for whatever was to come at us. Professor Zafir put down his shades... and then prompty took them off. He just said," What man? I just couldn't see shit." I had to smile.

Earlier we had gone back to our lab and "liberated" a couple of firearms from the high-security guards. Sure, the spent casings would make disastrous time rifts, but we took the Heckler Und Koch G11. The weapon fired caseless bullets, therefore not making a total mess when we do the Rambo. Because of the absence of casing ejection, the fire rate was a rapid 2000 rounds per minute. And it held a 50 rounds per magazine. We then proceeded to refit with REAL supplies.

The sky was now dyed a deep purple, with the glowing sun retreating into the horizon. The huge hairy guys motioned for Professor Zafir and I to move out. The strongest would lead the group to witness the opening of the Seal. I was scared shitless, and I could tell Professor Zafir was too. He was re-enacting scenes from Star Wars Episode III.

It was now time to walk, and to face the unknown horrors that lie ahead. We knew survival is not guaranteed, and yet we followed.

It's been a week since I've written here, because... I was busy.
After reading Diane's blog, I learned that a trip on public transport can be murderous in Canada. I also learned that in Singapore, a trip could do the same...

Imagine you're on a bus. The bus is incredibly crowded, and a horizontally-ample man is taking 1.5 seats, leaving you squeezed in a corner. Your shoulders resemble a clothes hanger from the stiffness. Yes, I was that poor sardine in the can. Just then, I heard the familiar "Super Mario" theme coming from the front. When I alighted, I had already formulated 8 ways to bully a boy with a Gameboy and game cartridge. Just when you thought it's safe in Singapore...

Alright enough about Cosplay, back to the legend of Giiburoishu.

"Professor Zafir and Dr Teo. Two people who traveled back in time, to uncover the mystery of a lost art."

"Will you stop murmuring to yourself and help me out here?!", said Professor Zafir. Having a gigantic creature with the capacity to kill staring at you is bad enough. But not being able to find proper defensive props, that's enough to make anyone shit bricks. There were two of the huge gorilla-like creatures, one of them looked like it was gonna make us strawberry jam, while the other was carving symbols into a huge rock. So we were right... these hairy apes were the smart guys here.

It grunted and beckoned for us to go over. We were scared shitless, we could only obey. Not even the world's strongest guy would want to fight the ape with a syringe. Minutes later, we trudged into the very same cavern we were in just an hour ago, only now, the apes were still filling the wall with their writings. There were about ten of them, and well... it looked like they made the cave their club house.

According to their writings and our formulas, a special seal of some sort will open after the seventh lunar eclipse, and something's bound to follow. Only thing was, we didn't know what. I was humbled by its significance; and wanted to find out more. While Professor Zafir busied himself taking notes, I couldn't help but notice 6 recorded Lunar Eclipses. The 7th is about to arrive, and I had a feeling it was to be a force to be reckoned with.

According to a paragraph of their writings, the 7th only had a few days to go. Those few days we had we could go back to the present to gather more important supplies. No weapons though, any change to the environment, even the slightest change could cause major snowballed changes. A time paradox would occur and the future would therefore, cease to exist. We could be erased from this very existence.

It was up to us now, and our new-found allies, to stop whatever would be coming.

Cosplay Fail

And now... a little something to give the tale of "Giiburoishu" a rest, I shall now talk about cosplay. Well, countless people have cosplay as their hobby, but only a handful can pull off killer looks, or at least look moderately accurate to the anime counterpart.

The rest, however, will not be so fortunate. To put it in blunt terms, they will look a complete moron.

"Hey Bob, I think we're at the wrong convention. This doesn't look like comic-con, looks more like fail-mania."

But still, props to them for having the balls to look this funny at their own expense!

Looking through the tinted lens of our security goggles, visibility was a near-zero. I wouldn't have worn this clunky piece of kit if it wasn't to protect my fragile eyes. Professor Zafir's geiger counter was spinning off the charts; looks like we couldn't stay for long, we would soak in too much radiation and die there. It was Now Or Never.

We dashed in.

We ran and ran, god knows how far. I had to stop. I slowed to a complete halt, and keeled over. Mind you, I was carrying a good 60 pounds of supplies, which was all of our stuff. Professor Zafir delegated this duty to me, as he said he 'needed full concentration to keep track of the scale on the geiger counter'. Besides, the haversack looks heavier than him.

Eyes darting around and scanning the area, all looks familiar. Had we... failed? I looked around once more, and concluded that...we succeeded! How was I so sure? There wasn't a house anywhere for miles, the residents that we asked directions from were absent. Also, there was a now a forest, years, maybe decades or even centuries before it faced deforestation. And I was staring at what looks like a giant ape-man, hangin' out with his pals.

Professor Zafir noticed the creatures too, they were unlike anything we have ever seen right in front of our eyes. They were easily 2 and a half metres, very muscular in build and could crush a human's head in it's hands. I was comtemplating taking one of those back for tests, when Professor Zafir began to search frantically for a weapon in our haversack, in case things went south. He then began to curse incessantly, and I saw why. There were scientific equipment and koko krunch boxes everywhere, but all that passes for a weapon is a tiny syringe.

I was very sure Professor Zafir's and my thoughts were the same.
"Thats it, we're really f**ked this time."

And now the epic tale of Professor Zafir and Dr Teo continues...

We had been in the cave for several hours, decoding the ancient language with formulas that we derived from the symbols. Before long, it was clear to us that these beings who made these 'untidy scrawls', possessed incredible intellect. They had discovered a specific venue near the woods, which actually allowed Time Travel.

With some help from the residents nearby, we had no trouble finding that magic spot. The people described everything turning blue and experiencing nausea while looking at a direction. It was probably the effects of blue-shift and strain of an extra-dimensional field. And that was when Professor Zafir said, "Let's go get our gear."

Within minutes, we grabbed all our essentials. I hugged my pack of koko krunch tight. Professor Zafir and I weren't certain that we would make it through, there were too many things to factor into the calculations to gauge the energy output, FTL travel, relavity, gravitational time dilation, at the speed and distance maybe even the coriolis effect... the list goes on.

We weren't ready.

Looking at Professor Zafir's expression, I told him assuringly, "Sometimes in life, we just gotta say... f**k it. Ain't the first time anyway." Two men, walked side by side, into infinity, and beyond.

Infinite discovery.

The mother of all findings, landed on the laps of two people, Professor Zafir and Dr Teo.

As you may know, we were on an expedition to recover lost cultures and languages, and we had began on Mount Fuji. Skipping the tourist shops to the road less traveled, Professor Zafir chanced upon a cave. It looked like it inhabited intelligent beings, for the walls were symbols, scrawled with sharp tools. Professor Zafir and I also found out that the language's name is "Giiburoishu". But whatever made these unkempt hieroglyphs seem to be long gone. We had the cave all to ourselves for as long as our meager budget allowed.

The language, when pronounced, seemed to have a European influence. Professor Zafir was nice enough to triangulate a search area, near Bavaria, Germany. After a few days of searching, our efforts paid off when there were symbols that pinpoint the loc of a gigantic cave. Inside were the symbols, in the same language we recovered in Japan, albeit a little...different in terms of accent.
It must have been an older version of "Giiburoishu".

An ordinary day, but an extraodinary deal. Want to know what happened, read on. Duh.

OK I was window-shopping with Kwek and gang. But I knew I couldn't afford to buy windows with 5 bucks. OK that was lame. We were in this building near Dhoby Ghaut MRT, where there's a cinema and all sorts of expensive shops. Those who remember this place, can you like remind me?

Anyway, I saw this sticker on a shop's glass pane. $2 for a retro XBOX game. Without thinking I bought one straight away. 2 Singapore dollars! Not 2 pounds or 2 euro.

I think Zafir's gonna really love this stuff.

And here's the twist. The guy didn't scan the damn game, so when I walk into any shop nearby there's always the complimentary welcome-party with stares from the public. Damn things will beep when I walk in.

Then Heng Fei suggested I hold the box up in the air, so the rectangular thingies won't do the code-red alert. Guess what? It actually worked.

I FOUND MY OLD SLINGSHOT!!! not bad right?>^ :D

It's quite old but it's still rather sturdy. Best thing of all, anything finger-nail-sized object works as ammo. Wanted to go research what is cheap and passes off as slingshot ammunition.

Finally there's a time to slack, thought I should hit the LAN shop right away. I actually went to play Dota (Defense Of The Ancients), when I'm really lousy at it. Needless to say, I got totally PWN3D.

Vocab: (PWN3D) derived from "owned" (see Owned), appropriate to conquering or dominating. Used to humiliate opponents.

People even SING about the DoTA, even though it was just a simple mod made by a player. For Techno-music lovers, check out the song "DoTA" by Basshunter. He's some handsome swedish singer.
